She I have known since I saw her live a song
Along the lane we look up at the clouds
I traveled alone down the lane,
Not to say though that it's been long.
The elation which I find
Only to be found in her smile so kind.
Over warm tea we talk of life,
Of toil and happiness, wonder and strife.
I see my goals, she sees my doubts.
By her crystal gaze I've dubbed her "Rainy eyes"
For she is lucid, pure, undaunted by lies.
Then one day she she stopped coming for tea,
And I was alone to hear my desperate weep.
A hundred days time has slain.
My heart's veins torn asunder
Akin to the sky split by lightning and thunder.
At the end of the path I found what I had never hoped to see;
A tombstone marking her grave in the grass beneath my feet.
